I've been doing more digging into the embedded controller. Pretty sure it's an ENE KB3310, although I can't find out much online. But it has turned out to be quite similar to the KB3700 (used in the OLPC) and in particular the KB3920. The KB3700 datasheet and info can be found on the OLPC wiki (wiki.laptop.org/go/Hardware_specification), and the KB3920 datasheet can be found with a bit of creative googling -- it's marked CONFIDENTIAL, so I won't post a link to it here.
