Ok, I'm not good at this, let's just switch to english /images/koloboks/laugh2.gif

The problem I got is - upgrading my oldie notebook BIOS. I want to have bigger HDD support, that is only possible with r1.17 BIOS. I have Mitac M722-H, but the new BIOS file is for M722. The only difference in models is LCD manufacturer. After flashing everything works fine, expect LCD - that is just black (not lighting up), not even blink. I operate now with external monitor. I tried switching BIOS settings (setting VGA output to external / LCD / both) and nothing helps, also tried a combination of Fn+5 and Fn+11 in many ways, and it didn't help. I have a copy of older BIOS of course. I have opened BIOS files I have got in hex editor and realized there are some differences between r1.03 M722-H and r1.16, r1.16L, r1.17 in header that is starting with "VGABIOS". I bet this causes the problem. Is anyone on this board a "Insyde BIOS guru" ? ;-) Is this even technically possible to copy a VGA BIOS block from r1.03 to a r1.17, and would it flash correctly ? I have attached all BIOS'es I have mentioned in this post.

Regards, Damian.

I guess this is a real challenge ;)

One thing I forgot to say, M722-H uses MIFLASH for flashing (but accepts M722 BIOS files without any problems) instead of FLASHIT.
The chip is: SST 29EE020

I also noticed that r1.03 is the only one with "BootBlock":

And back to r1.03, POST screen:
