It looks like there is not enough free space in bios. Try cbrom 6BZ_A4.BIN /pci release before patching, at least - it doesn't give any error in that case.
If you need this module (support for SCSI cards w/o BIOS) save it with cbrom 6BZ_A4.BIN /pci extract before releasing and re-insert after patching with cbrom 6BZ_A4.BIN /pci NCR306.16K. It seems to be working.
