Does someone knows marking of U34 - dip8 placed between southbridge and DDR slots.
Also, what is UU15 on upper right southbridge corner ? Someone put there AMS1085CD, but it`s litle suspicious to me, becouse the same person put ITE8708 insted ASB100-A on this board !?!
I think, that is LM358, but it's my fantasy. Tracing the pin of this IC (1 and 7) to near mosfets.
IMHO not AMS1085CD. This IC may be AMS1505CM, but it's also my fantasy :). About ITE8708 and ASB100-A - on the photo (99 kb) I see IC with Asus label and ITE label :).
I so that 4 legs on U34 are shortcuted, and trie with ic with marking 2030 that one suggested and mobo started (before that it was dead totaly).
Now I have post CO-C1-E0-something that I can`t see becouse it`s too fast - 05.
No BEEP-S.
Any suggestions about POST 05?
P.S. CPU, DDR, South and north Voltages normal.
ASB100-A and ITE8708 not compatible (pinout/functionality/etc :)).
May be bus termination regulator? RT9173 (example). Shortcuted pins - 5, 6, 7, 8?
I found in WIKI that POST 05 is most common problem with SIO and I must thank to author of that text for good hint.
I must tell to all users that need information about U34. It`s 8 leg chip marked with 2030 (may be changed to chip marked with 4500 often found on Asus mobo-s)
Thanks` to all.
I.e. n- and p-channel transistor in SO-8 package.
Jega, thank you for problem decision.[/off]
