Mobo endured thunder lightning that fried ADSL modem and came through USB. There is shortcuton d+ and d- on front USB to null.On PW_ON +5V (can`t start on pwr button), on reset 1.2V.
When forced to start Q73 (APL117S) under IDE connector is wery hot. Wihout processor CPU voltage 1.58V !?! Bridge voltage is 1.2V and it`s normaly hot (Finger is holding on it).
Is there any point to try something since USB shortcut and anamnesis about lightning?
In stanby Q73 and bridge is hot?
VID values on PWM is 00000? Pull-up?
PWM CONTROLLER is ISL6312 and have 0v on all 8 VID-s. I "отжигал" USB vith +3V. Now there is no shortcuts but mobo is still dead:(
1) It's Pulse (typically PWM) stabilisator output. May be shorten lower side MOSFET or diode, or controller.
2) (Most cases) - SB failed.
If there's linear stabilisator like 1117, 1084 which supplies SB in standby, and it's hot, and in standby SB is not cold, in most cases SB failed.
If there's shorted USB line on MB, and there're neither USB controllers (other than integrated in SB) nor supressors, etc (most MBs) - SB damaged.
Like I said, 1117S and Chipset bridge (Mobo dont have North and south but only one bridge) are could in stand by. Only when forced to start 1117S is geting hot and bridge is normali warm (U can hold finger easely).
I`ll check the resistence, like Highlander said and write the results...I`m just looking for proper transistors for replacing Lower MOSFETs just in case (I just noticed that they are slightly warmer then others)
Thank you gentleman for constructive advices.
