patch is skipped if keyboard is not connected !

Hello from Slovakia, I needed larger disk on old pc, so I find your patcher....

My very old motherboard is A-Trend ATC-5300 with SiS chipset and cpu AMD K6-2 266. Latest official bios AWARD is from http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/a-trend/bios/ used is atc5300.zip [ 03/24/1999-SiS-5598-ATC-5300C-00 128K ATC-5300 VER:2.0 01 E ].

I patched that bios with version 4.23 and 6alpha9, with both have a same problem:

If keyboard is connected, then no problem, I can see romby copyright message, cpu alias name and 80gb disk works....
If keyboard is NOT connected, then original bios is loaded and romby patch is skipped.

In bios is setting "Halt on error" and is set "all but keyboard", keyboard is not present vnc over network will be used.
