Help changing multiplier, voltage on Shuttle AK38N

Hi all, I'm new here

Please tell me, how do I change multiplier and voltage on this board (rev 1.1)? I couldn't find anywhere to do so, only fsb/mem speed?

The cpu is a Duron Spitfire unlocked with silver ink and Bios is rev 00k patched with BP6alpha10.
I wanted to buy a Barton 2500+ but only if I'm able to oc it!

Tya,
Carlos

If you want to oc a Barton, just make it mobile by closing L5 bridges with silver ink or smth like it. After that you will be able to change multiplyer "on the fly" from your OS, using third-party software. In Windows you can use CBId, CPUMSR or CrystalCPUId for that purpose.

I was hoping I could do all that from the bios using BP, but had no luck with the Duron and L1 closed.
Here's the output from BP (bios rev 00L):

BIOS Patcher ver. 6.00.alpha_10. |for Award/Phoenix & AMI bioses|

Without a multiplier/voltage settings in the bios, I'll be stuck with the freqs the os boots at with default mult/volt, which won't be very good for oc'ing. To make things worst, the board has a jumper for the fsb freq (100/133/166) and, from the bios, you can only change it within the jumper's intervals (ie: 101-132/134-165/167-200) so, I guess from the os the same will happen?

Hey, man, had you read my previous post or what? I told you: make your cpu mobile, closing L5. There was nothing about patching the bios.

After that you'll be able to change multiplier from inside OS. Multiplier, NOT the FSB (though, you can change the FSB from bios)

You need the patcher only if your new cpu is not recognized by your mobo (in this case you may also need some handwork with resistors near cpu socket) or if you want the max multiplier to be changed down (e.g. to set it 15x instead of 24x). Patcher doesn't add Abit's "soft menu" to bios or whatever like it. It is not an oc tool - it's just for making old mobos live longer (and make their happy owners even happier:D)

For changing cpu core voltage (and Spitfire's multiplier also) interactive howto you have to look here.

And don't forget: BP v6 is in alpha stage (only for bug-tracking purposes). Using it is not recommended for now.
