COMPAQ 6715B
This notebook is turning on, fan is spining but not all times I recive picture on monitor. At first it worked and went to windows after few times of turning on and off.
After that, every third time it showes POST screen and stops there. It don`t react on keyboard F10 to go in BIOS. I tried USB keyboard and situation is same. On mobo there is SIO: SMSC KB1070-NU. Datasheet unavaileble even on SMSC site. South is AMD SB600 - tried to heat him to eliminate "отвал", but with no effect.
Does anyone have datasheet for SMSC KB1070-NU?

Блок питания родной?

Another important information:
Owner said that he had problem with USB-s (USB work for wile and then not working with USB devices), Sound card did not work... Seam to me it`s problem with SB600. Only one way to find out:)

Я попытался плат с RAM, CPU и клавиатуры в ней, без других периферийных устройств. Я встретилась такoй проблем с SB460. Я надеюсь, что аналогия будет то же...

I managed to change AMD SB600 southbridge with ATI SB600 and Notebook is working now. It wasn`t SMSC KB1070-NU to blame.
