Standard "отвал" syndrome. After pressing one of three components it start to "live" :
1) ATI IXP460
2) ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M
3) CPU SOCKET
I tried to find what of these three is broken by pressing every one, but, whatever I press it starts. Without pressing-dead.
I don`t want to heat or change something that pratice showed that is not braking. Does someone have expirience in repair of these AMILO-s?
After colser looking on it I saw that there is litle brown spot on white letters on it. Over it there was Wireless card that had white paper who was brown on side that goes on top of SB460.
So I have to change it. I don`t have working SB460 right now, but when I find it I will replace it and reply the result.
Thank you guys.
I don't think that reason of problems with SB450/SB460 is isolation via USB... I see that SB460 chips often die with symptoms like:
- HDD/ODD makes notebook hangs or HDD/ODD isn't detected
- touchpad/keyboard doesn't work
and these symptoms often appears with 'litle brown spot on white letters on it'. More concretically - brown spot located on letter 'X' in phrase 'IXP460'
Could you proof it? Really I see not so much notebooks with well-made isolation via USB... And they are brandnames - Apple, Panasonic, IBM-Lenovo, which makes notebooks on their own design...
В данном случае просто сбила с толку фраза "Standard "отвал" syndrome. After pressing one of three components it start to "live" : ", думал человек умеет диагностировать отвал и отличать его от смерти моста...
речь не про то. Речь про другое - как Вы связали отказ USB с 'this machine is well made Pts isolation via USB'.
After change SB460 chip with litle brown spot on letter X (in IXP460 marking), Notebook started to work as new:)
I tested him for few days and there was no problems.
I have another 3 notebooks with same problem. Some of them are turning on but with no recognition of IDE/SATA drives or not turning on at all.
All have same phisical manifestation - brown spot.
