Can`t find "*BBSS*"! message means that patcher can't find BootBlock Startup Signature This either may come out of non-standart-compliant (or very, very old - but LX is not that case) BIOS or AMI BIOS - v4.23 works only with AWARD.
BTW - can't you be more specific: who is mobo manufacturer, what is its model number, hadn't you look for BIOS upgrade in "official" sources, had you all needed files (modbin, cbrom, reall.cod) along with patcher and bios file, isn't any of these files write-protected?
Yes, the first 2 questions can be answered by looking at BIOS Id string in your message, but can't you do it yourself? ;-)

There was a poor dumped bios I've had so the problem disapeared when I dumped it again. I'm Really sorry for messing with this here...
