There is any possibility to patch this Award (ASUS modified) bios to allow HDD larger than 40gb?

Right now - no. Maybe later. Try setting HDD parameters manually to 65536/16/63, make boot partition less than 8Gb and use remaining space only under OS that doesn't use BIOS calls for accessing HDD (W98/NT4/2k/XP/2k3/Linux etc).

I've already thinked about it, but I was wondering if someone knows a way to manually alter the bios after decompressing it with ACBROM...
