Здравствуйте!
Помогите, пожалуйста, решить следующую проблему. Я прошил биос самой последней (2001-го года, хех) прошивкой с гигабайтовского сайта, но автодетект все равно выдает 137 гб. Что делать? Может есть какие third-party прошивки?

Win 98 LBA48 "не понимают" (а ОСь и уже не будет, поскольку списана Майкрософтом "в утиль");
Насчет ОС не совсем так, вернее от Майкрософта уже не дождешься ничего, но один человек переписал ESDI_506.PDR и распространяет его в виде патча:
HIGH CAPACITY DISK PATCH

The High Capacity Disk Patch Program patches Windows 98/98SE/ME to provide
direct support for hard drives larger than 137GB without requiring a
controller card or the Intel Application Accelerator which can only be
used with an Intel chipset motherboard. The patch installs support for the
48-Bit addressing mode required for hard drives larger than 137GB.

REQUIREMENTS

Windows 98, 98SE or ME.
BIOS support for hard drives >137GB.

К сожалению, он Demo...

О приобретении 200 ГБ диска пока только задумываюсь, поэтому не тестил, но получается, теперь нет необходимости выделять для Windows 98 отдельный маленький раздел в начале диска.
