В общем, отключи диск и снеси драйвер, потом устанавливай его снова...
BTW, на ХайПойнте "место прописки" дров для тарых моделей сменилось, еле нашел - вот твой, к примеру: highpoint-tech.com/USA/bios_hpt370_370a.htm

Проблема с РАЙДом под ХР...
